The dream of every Survivor is finally becoming a reality. Bohemia Interactive has just released the second in-game teaser for motorbikes, showcasing high-speed racing and confirming that these vehicles will be a core feature of the upcoming DayZ Badlands expansion.
After years of community requests and speculation, we finally have a clear look at how two-wheeled transportation will function. In a surprise update today, the DayZ development team shared a video featuring the developers racing motorbikes on a makeshift track, proving that the physics and handling are well into production.
Motorbikes: A New Era of Mobility
This second teaser is a major step forward from previous announcements. While the first teaser introduced the concept, this footage focuses on active gameplay.

Agile Scouting: Motorbikes will allow survivors to navigate dense forests and narrow mountain passes where traditional cars simply cannot go.

Refined Physics: The footage shows a significant level of polish in how the bikes interact with the terrain, a promising sign for the often-unpredictable vehicle systems in DayZ.

The Sound of the Apocalypse: The roar of the engines in the teaser suggests that while you’ll be faster, you certainly won’t be stealthy.
Badlands is Coming in 2026
Alongside the teaser, Bohemia Interactive confirmed that DayZ Badlands is the next major expansion for the franchise, officially slated for a 2026 release. This gives the team the necessary time to perfect the new mechanics and ensure that the “Badlands” environment offers a survival experience unlike anything we’ve seen in Chernarus or Livonia.
The developers described this teaser as a “prelude” to a much larger dev blog coming in a few months, which will dive deeper into the technical aspects of the bikes and the lore of the Badlands.

Stay Ahead of the Pack
For the MyDayZ.eu community, the arrival of motorbikes and the Badlands expansion in 2026 represents the biggest shift in gameplay since the move to the Enfusion engine. We are already looking forward to seeing how these “steel horses” will change faction wars and solo survival on our servers.
